Maher’s Story

Maher, due to Covid-19, became unemployed and therefore decided to go on an adventure. He started looking for work online, applying in one of our offers.

Once we contacted him, he looked for information about us on the website, reading different types of opinions, both very good and some negative. Maher is one of those who do not judge a book for him covered by him and in the interview he was able to find out in depth everything he needed to know.

He tells us that, having landed in Holland, everything went fantastic. He was picked up at the airport and transferred to the offices for the consigna of the keys to a house that he defines as beautiful, where he had to go through the mandatory quarantine.

Upon completion of the mandatory quarantine to enter the Netherlands, he moved into the new TenS Holland housing. Maher was very happy on arrival as everything was new and very close to work!

Regarding his adaptation of him, he tells us that in the beginning, although everything is different, it’s easy to get used to. Fortunately, he has formed a group of friends who calls his family there. Indeed, he takes the opportunity to send them a greeting from here.

At the moment it doesn’t occur to him to go back to Spain because he loves Holland and has a job he is really happy with. Maher tells us that in Ceuta (his city) there is a lot of youth unemployment, and he encourages young and old to take a step forward and live this adventure.

Finally, we asked him what he would change about his stay there and his words were: “change I would not change anything, I just hope that soon everything will return to normal and that there is no more talk of Covid”.

Maher, we really appreciate your words and your time, we hope you continue to be just as happy in the Netherlands and we wish you all the luck in the world.

Victor’s Story

Victor’s story comes from far away, precisely from the Philippines. Victor returned to Spain from the Philippines and after a month he realized that what he needed most was to go out again and discover the world by working abroad.

He found our offer on the internet and went to work, he wanted to go to the Netherlands. As for the selection process, he tells us that it was all simple, fast and clear.

When he arrived in Holland the weather was shocking, as coming from a country like the Philippines with a temperature of 40º, he didn’t expect to be in Eindhoven with -11º. At the airport he was alone and had doubts and some fears invaded him, but once they met him, they took him to the offices and showed him the accommodation, he relaxed.

Now, several months later, Victor is very happy and hopes to achieve his goal of returning to the Philippines with his partner in the house they are building there. He believes that within a year they can achieve it.

As for the workplace, he is very happy. His means of transport is an electric bike and he is delighted. He tells us that there is an excellent relationship between colleagues and even in the summer they meet in ice cream parlors and pizzerias when the working day ends.

Surprisingly, Victor tells us that he is very comfortable in the new housing we have built, but that he misses the workhouses. He is a lover of nature and those lodgings were located closest to it.

We want to thank you Víctor for the time you dedicated to the interview and we are very happy that you are happy there. You are a very nice person and we want you to be able to achieve all your goals.

Rui’s Story

There are times when life surprises you and turns everything you thought you had under control upside down. You had a life with someone you thought you loved and had shared memories and stories with for 20 years. You shared groups of friends, Netflix afternoons and mornings when you didn’t want to get out of bed.

But, sometimes, everything gets interrupted and you are no longer married. You no longer share groups of friends or memories with someone but start creating your own.

Rui, 43 and Portuguese, has decided that it’s never too late to start over and give yourself a chance on this path they call life. The desire to start writing a new story from scratch led him to contact TenS Holland and start a new life in the Netherlands. He felt impatient, courageous, even if fear of him prevented him from sleeping soundly on the worst nights.

And in just three weeks he saw himself in another country starting from scratch, even though he now believes it is one of the best decisions he has made in his life. He is happy at work. Talking to him, he gave me the impression that he is a person who works to live and does not live to work. That he likes what he does, and also the friends he has met at the company. He feels fulfilled and starts putting commas and periods and following into his new life.

Although he shares a room in his house, he would like to be more independent and have his space than him. At the moment they offered him the possibility of having a single room but he who knows if in the future he will end up having a house of his own in the Netherlands. But he is happy. He thanks us because according to him “she had that little push to enter a new phase in his life”.

Rui is an example that life takes many turns. That it is never too late if you feel like it and that you must always seek happiness in the small details, even if it is miles away.

Carolina’s Story

Happiness is sometimes found in the least expected place and in the least indicated place. And if not, tell Carolina. Born in Venezuela and with a grown family, she had to leave her roots and start a new adventure in the Netherlands.

Despite the tears that flowed from her eyes as she said goodbye to what had been her life for so many years, she a new story she began to write in her diary more precious than her. A new life with her son Luis Miguel and her husband was about to begin thousands of miles away.

Luis Miguel, who had started this journey a few months earlier, advised Carolina TenS Holland to find a job as soon as possible and in good condition.

By contacting our offices, you found a job in just one week. A year and a half later, Carolina is still as happy as she is on the day she started her new adventure as a logistics operator. She is grateful for the treatment and care of her colleagues at TenS Holland and for the working environment in which she has met many colleagues, growing her small family of hers.

In a few days she will go on vacation to the Canaries because she misses the sun and tanned skin so much, she tells her.

Happiness, even though she only thought she was in her homeland, has returned to her life, in the best possible way. A home of her own, surrounded by her family, made her happy today and this transient state of mind has become a way of life, making the Netherlands her new life.

Alfonso’s Story

Alfonso at first wanted to travel to Ireland to work, suddenly, his cousin who is in the Netherlands, recommended that he has to change his mind and go with him. At that time Alfonso was clear about it and what better way than to go to a country where there is already a relative who can help you with the adaptation.

At the time of work, his cousin recommended TenS Holanda, since it was the agency that was with him and he did not think about it. Currently, he is happy in his job where he tells us that he maintains a good relationship with his international colleagues.

Alfonso is working many hours a week and this helps him to achieve his goal, to save money. He is confident that when he reduces his workload a bit he can pay for a course in marketing to continue growing.

His intention is to spend a year there, he is happy and does not think of going back. The only thing he tells us that he does not quite convince him is the climate, since a Murcian accustomed to the sun, ends up missing it.

On the other hand, what he likes the most about the Netherlands are the Dutch and their culture. He tells us that they are very respectful people and that he does not judge others, he feels free. Alfonso comes from a town in Murcia where everyone knows each other and everything is known, so in the Netherlands he is more comfortable.

He also highlights the cleanliness of the streets and how well organized everything is. As his cousin told him when he arrived: “everything is very simple here and it is very easy to adapt, it is a country for fools” alluding to the good order of the country.

It has been a pleasure talking to Alfonso and we hope that he continues to be just as happy in the Netherlands, surely the future will return all your efforts in successes.
